New Technique!!

The Sun has ……..

Wow! What a week – wonderful weather, and lots of flowers. I even got outside with the camera, I had thought of getting the early morning light but ended up taking flowers at the end of the day….. Then to round things off a few cut columbines (Aquilegia vulgaris – Aquila being the latin for Eagle – we get a lot of purple eagles around here!) – columbine is apparently from the latin for pigeon – is that because the wild ones are not as grand as the cultivated? Otherwise known as Granny’s Bonnet. Don’t forget

Bluebells and others

After cat sitting mushrooms come local bluebells. We have the two sorts here the fuller larger invaders and the more delicate indigenous species. The church on the hill is Brentor. I have photos for sale at http://www.tamarvalleyphotos.co.uk

Cat Sitting

You may question why, with pictures of fungi, the post is called cat sitting – well these wonderful edible yummies were a gift for looking after 3 cats for a week, and very nice they were!! (both the cats and the fungi since you ask!). Oh yes, there are a couple of blowies after the blowy has blown!
