Streets of Siena.
We spent a great day with our friends in Sienna. Had a wonderful lunch which included artichoke pate with truffles. Caught the train back to Florence.
All these images are for sale, all will be one off, truly unique. Sizes up to canvas of approx a metre on the longest edge and photographic print sizes are negotiable. Price are size and media dependent – contact me for details.
Starting to make regular updates,
Same old story, busy then no time for blogs and more. Changed my work flow so there are now times when I can update things. Photographed a wonderful piece of art last week for a great artists RA entry! This week it was a late night shoot for the up and coming Tavistock Edge! Sadly these are both being kept under wraps so no images!
I also started on my annual snowdrop shoot, so there is one below!
On this cold day!
I have been looking for images for Christmascards today, and found this from a couple of years back – there is something about it that I like, strange really as barbed wire is so un snow like!!
The River Walkham and the Tunnel and a frosty morn on Dartmoor.
Our Friday morning walks have migrated to Saturday for a while! Here are two weeks, one along a cycle path and across anew bridge, the other, today, up past Merivale on Dartmoor, the wind blew, the puddles were frozen and one of our number fell in the water!!

The Tamar River
A walk along the Cornish side on the rivers edge, waiting for the tide to go out. Lots of pictures of the three bridges in the mist! The rest are on Flickr Incredible light and wet feet. The mist slowly rose but I have kept the images slightly dark to give a vague mysterious view!

Out and About
Although vision is still blurred I have managed to get a few photos – the magic of modern cameras (these are from a point and shoot and I did!), some of these are the ice on the side of the River Tamar which almost seems fluid as the tide ebbs and flows. And one is to show that spring is just around the corner………
The Second Heavy Snows
Again these have not been played with – some were taken before dawn or sunrise over Dartmoor, again with one eye out of commission.
Frosty Morning
Well, I managed to get up and get out with the camera today, must be all the winter vitamin tablets! One of the heaviest frosts I can remember in a long time. It was interesting as the the trees were white from the frost but only at lower levels, so that there was a colour inversion, the normal white moors were coloured and the coloured trees were white!

Misty Morning
I managed to get up and out yesterday, the sun and mist were too tempting, and although well below freezing it was dry. A short walk to a Milleneum Green and views across Dartmoor and Plymouth produced the following! I like the way that the views are almost cardboard cutouts …………
